This shirt features a mandala-like arrangement of 12 healing herbs from an herbalist’s ‘medicine chest’; Boneset, Comfrey, Feverfew, Queen Anne’s Lace, Scullcap, Vervain, Motherwort, Self-Heal, Juniper, Elder Flower, Yarrow and Valerian Root. Each component came from a hand-cut, spray-painted stencil image combined in computer space to create the overall design. It is intended to evoke a gentle feeling of emotional well-being, somewhat akin to the action of a flower-essence.
