This class will be held in person at Celtic Junction in the education classroom. Participants will explore knotwork interlacing patterns based on a square grid using several methods of construction as well as the geometry used to construct Celtic spiral patterns in the round. We will complete our study by experimenting with freehand studies of zoomorphic (animal-shaped) knotwork. Students should have graph paper, a straight-edge ruler, and a variety of preferred drawing materials (pencils, pens, colored pencils, markers, etc.) If available, a compass/protractor would be very useful to have but is not required.
3 In-Person Sessions: Tuesdays, 11:00 am.– 12:15 pm. January 16-30.
Course Fee: $75
